Sometimes you may hear either Jeff or I give advice involving doggy medication. Please know we do this because we love your dogs. Some dogs need meds just like some people need meds. If your dog lives in constant panic and fear, it can't enjoy life. Could you enjoy life if you were anxious? I couldn't.
If you are living or working with a fearful dog, ask yourself: How is my dog’s overall quality of life? Is she mostly happy and content? Or does her chronic fear affect her daily activities? If fear significantly affects your dog’s quality of life, consider consulting with a veterinary behavior specialist, and ask if behavior medication is right for your dog.
